This is the date (or around here) where we go pick up our weaner pigs. They have been weaned for 8 weeks so far and will be 30 to 35 pounds when we pick them up. We’ll get two this year, one for our family and will sell the other to stock someones freezer. We purchase off a local island hog breeder and usually get Durocs due to their combination of great tasting meat and their ability to grow fast – which is what you want when raising an animal for meat.
