This is around the time when we take the meat birds to slaughter. They take about 12 weeks to mature / grow to a size where they are ready for slaughter – though you can take them as early as you wish. The date is scheduled a week in advance and we’ll pack them all up in chicken cages. They will come back cleaned and wrapped and stamped with a price per pound according to what we requested – ready and legal for sale.
