Glad to be home on the Island again. The trip was busy and stressful – especially the travel to which I basically lost 2 full days not including ‘working’ days. Still haven’t quite caught up on sleep after being up basically all night friday night. I would never choose to be a trainer, traveling all around doing this. I can see where it can be interesting, especially if all I had to worry about was training, but if you have a life, a family, hobbies, church, whatever, traveling isn’t good. Even for twice the money I don’t think it would be worth the time away from home, away from the regular schedule of life that is nice to settle into.
Its quite gusty and rainy here, and chilly, a far cry (whatever far cry really means 😛 ) from down south. I’ll take it any day though, I love being in Canada.
SO busy with house things here and baby things, seminars, appointments, scheduling in contractors for work on the new house etc.
As I attempt to make 5 hours sitting in DFW (Dallas Fort Worth) terminal D go by a bit more quickly, I’m going to give you my point for review of Texas.
- big trucks
- big burgers
- hot weather
- lotsa ‘y’all’s
- lotsa trucks
- did I mention trucks? And pickups?
- and lotsa support for the military
And now, back to my 4 hours and 55 minutes of waiting
Welp, its my last night in Texas, i need to be at the airport at 4:30am saturday morning and the airport is 3 hours drive,… SO, I think I’ll just friday night so I can see Texas on the drive to Dallas in the daylight, or mostly in the daylight. Hoping to find some quick caches along the highway as well.
Its been interesting for sure, very nice down here, right now at least as everything is blooming. It apparently gets quite a bit hotter here and a lot drier. I’m happy to be a Canadian!! Not to hot, a real winter season with snow and ice, and winter activities. The hot sunny weather has been nice though since we are working our way into summer on PEI.
Can’t wait to see my wifey and get ready for our first baby, our new house and the PEI summer season!
