Bible Prophecy Update for January 2012

»Posted by on Jan 28, 2012 in General | 0 comments

While this year is hyped as a big year for doomsday scenarios, I can tell you for a fact that the world will not end. Why? Cause the bible says so. Let me preface this prophecy update by saying that no where am I saying that the things I’ll talk about are ABSOLUTELY the items written about in the bible. Why? Well, the bible doesn’t give us a date and time for these things to happen (example one world government), it simply says in the last days there WILL be a one world government. So whether the things happening now fulfill that or simply are the precursors, it doesn’t really matter. Its enough at this point in time to recognize where the world is moving and how geopolitical events are occurring and ushering us towards these biblical events. If...

Hook in the jaw

»Posted by on Jan 15, 2012 in General | 0 comments

This is kinda a prophecy update.  World news this week just hit me and I realized what one of the prophetic scriptures very likely means. “I will turn you around and put hooks in your jaws to lead you out with your whole army—your horses and charioteers in full armor and a great horde armed with shields and swords. Ezekiel 38″ So that verse, in Ezekiel 38 according to most bible prophecy scholars hasn’t occurred yet. its related to the kings of the north, Gog, Magog.  Many prophecy speakers pontificated on what would draw the countries into battle, or what the ‘hook’ would be that was put in their jaws to pull them into the fight. Many suggested that it would be Israels wealth that they were after that would draw the countries...

Why the Lord won’t return in 2012

»Posted by on Dec 26, 2011 in General | 3 comments

2012 is a big year for the world, so many people thinking about the end of the world, wars and rumours of wars with Iran, Israel, Syria etc.   Now obviously I don’t make decisions for God so I can’t REALLY say whether He will return in 2012. And the doctrine of imminence applies here as well:   The Bible teaches that Christ can come at any moment. (This is called the doctrine of imminence.) Any valid date setting would tend to destroy the doctrine of imminence, and would also have a deleterious effect on our Christian walk. We are to live in the expectation of His any-moment appearance for us. From: http://www.khouse.org/articles/1995/36/  So ya, with that quote and idea, obviously this post got a lot more questionable, and thats...

Mayan Long Count

»Posted by on Dec 21, 2011 in General | 0 comments

A hot topic prophetically speaking (not necessarily bible prophecy) is the Mayan calendar, more specifically the long count calendar. Much of the world knows about this because of the 2012 end of the world prediction through this long count system, or at least the end of an era according to this calendar.   I like mysteries and conspiracies so I enjoy learning about these things whether they mean anything or not. What I like about really really old cultures and their stories / myths is that often you can see a hint if not more of the creation story. Often its long told stories of  a great flood that happened, recorded in the bible as Noahs flood, or stories about the creation of man, how the world was created. All those stories between cultures from one...

Happy Birthday to me

»Posted by on Oct 4, 2011 in General | 2 comments

Its my birthday, I’m 34 today. Maybe another 40 years to live? Three score and 10 or a little more as the bible records as being the lifespan of man generally. For my birthday I got a super cool apple peeler. Always wanted one, I found it so tedious to peel apples, especially when you could get an old school mechanical peeler. We have yet to go apple picking but when we do, I’ll be ready! Its interesting to do the once a year ‘look back’ at ones life and consider the events, and where one is at, and how many children one has and will have now and in the future. We have SO many more birthdays, Christmas’, thanksgivings etc ahead of us as we have kids and they grow old. Another 20 years of this as a family under one roof for sure....
