The Great Seadooing Adventure 2011

»Posted by on Oct 1, 2011 in General | 2 comments

So its our anniversary today, we’ve been married 6 years as Lindsey reminds me. Our celebrations started thursday when I took the afternoon off. The plan was to take the seadoo out and have a picnic on a deserted beach somewhere. From a high level, that plan worked. So first the seadoo wouldn’t start at home. I spent a good 45 minutes pulling the plugs over and over, drying them off, screwing them in again, and trying all over. Mostly draining the battery at the same time (remember that as its key to our ‘adventure’ to come…) Finally got it started and warmed and we packed up the car (Arden was at Carries for the day). We launched it on the beach in North Rustico harbour. So far so good. Then I started it and it took some winding...

Sunny Wednesday Morning

»Posted by on Sep 28, 2011 in General | 0 comments

This morning started at 7am cause Fussy decided she’d better get up nice and early :S (Usually we all sleep till 8 or so). It was -1 celsius this morning, frost on the grass (the small amount we have out back due to the grading…). Cool enough in the house (18 degrees) to start a fire under the house and make it toasty. I decided as well to tape up the solar heater, it kept falling out of the window and I was too lazy to get it in there better but this morning I figured I’d better start making use of it since I have it and warm up the upstairs a bit. This morning was also nice because I tried multigrain bread this morning. It was based on my 50/50 recipe that I often use for 50% whole wheat. There is probably a better recipe specific to...

The jewish wedding and prophecy

»Posted by on Jun 24, 2011 in General | 0 comments

Did you know that the Jewish wedding mirrors prophecy in regard to our relationship with Jesus and Gods timeline and plan for the second coming? There are many resources online comparing the two, I’ll quote some items from this one:tracking bible prophecy Where did the traditions originate in the ancient Jewish wedding? I’m not sure that we know, but the following study suggests that these traditions came from Scripture and the marriage between God and Israel. Similarly, is appears that Jesus is following the same traditions in His betrothal and marriage to the Church. This study also supports a Pre-Tribulation rapture. Check out the site, basically every part of the tradition from select of the bride (us) to the ceremony and even the honeymoon mirror...

My Amazing Wife

»Posted by on Jan 10, 2011 in General | 0 comments

I have an amazing wife! Did you get that from the title? She makes great and healthy meals for us (Arden and I). I’m so happy she has concern for health and for all the junk ingredients in foods these days and spends the time to make better quality meals! I also appreciate how well she cares for Arden all day long while I’m at work and most of the night too! She plays with Arden, keeps her well fed, picks her up when she falls, gives her baths regularly and is just generally a loving caring mom.  Arden is going to grow up to be a great person I think (STLT – Should The Lord Tarry). She also keeps the house clean and organized, pulls out, hangs and puts away all the seasonal decorations. Lindsey is an amazing wife. You may find all of these...

Finally cold again! and SEX

»Posted by on Dec 16, 2010 in General | 1 comment

Nice that the weather has cooled down again, we can finally use our wood furnace properly. Hate seeing it there twiddling its thumbs (logs) waiting for the thermostat to let it breath a bit. Also like having it roaring cause it creates lots of ‘free’ hot water for us which is really nice. Ensures the oil bill is low! Now about SEX… funny how sex gets attention eh, ok, well not funny so much as just the plain truth, especially for guys. With Carrie Singh  (http://journyinside.blogspot.com/) writing about the marriage bed and sex and all that, it gets lots of interest and hits. Hey, it works. Too bad I can’t talk about sex, I’d probably be considered a perv to blog about it Not that I want to write lots of blogs on SEX (hopefully...
